The Festival brings together companies, universities and research organisations to discuss research, technologies and practical applications for the food sector. Alongside sessions on processing, packaging and by-product valorisation, CULTIVATE adds a complementary perspective: food sharing as a form of social innovation for more sustainable and resilient urban food systems.
At 14:30–15:00 CET, Marco Petazzoni and Nicoletta Gomboli (ICONS) will introduce the Food Sharing Compass, the open-access platform co-designed within CULTIVATE with food sharing initiatives, policymakers, food supply actors, researchers and citizens. The session will present its five tools:
- Food Sharing Map: maps and monitors food sharing initiatives
- Food Sharing Calculator: assesses costs, benefits and impacts
- Menu of Good Governance: offers policy options that support food sharing
- Library of Citizen Engagement: supports inclusive participation
- Community of Practice: fosters mutual learning and uptake beyond the project
The session is held in Italian.
A single free registration gives access to all sessions, which will also be available on demand: REGISTER HERE.
