A new video tutorial has just been released to introduce the Food Sharing Map, an interactive tool developed by researchers at Trinity College Dublin that helps users discover food sharing initiatives across more than 200 cities worldwide.
The short guide shows how to search for initiatives by city, filter results by activity and mode of sharing, and explore organisations directly on the map. Users can also browse a detailed list of initiatives and access links to their websites and social media channels.
Part of the Food Sharing Compass, the Food Sharing Map helps citizens, researchers, policy makers and food system actors explore activities such as community gardening, collective cooking and eating, surplus food redistribution, gifting, bartering and foraging.
Watch the tutorial to learn how to navigate the map and start exploring food sharing initiatives in your area.
