The CULTIVATE project is turning up the volume with the launch of its new podcast series, diving into the vibrant and often surprising world of Food Sharing Initiatives (FSIs).
You can start listening right now, as the first episode, Understanding food sharing through the lens of an EU-funded project, is officially out!
The CULTIVATE Podcast Series is your invitation to explore how people across Europe are rethinking food, not just as something we consume, but as something we grow, share, and build communities around. Over the course of five episodes, the series uncovers the many faces of FSIs and the real impact they have on everyday life.
It all begins with a 360-degree introduction to the world of FSIs, setting the scene for what’s to come. From there, each episode explores a different practice, from food redistribution to community growing and collective cooking, before concluding with the CULTIVATE Compass, a tool designed to help navigate this rich and evolving ecosystem.
Along the way, each episode takes you into a different story:
- Understanding food sharing through the lens of an EU-funded project
- From waste to worth: rethinking food redistribution
- How food can empower communities and generate social impact
- More than a meal: cooking and eating as acts of sharing
- The Food Sharing Compass: a platform designed by and for people across the food system
Developed with contributions from a diverse network of partners, including Trinity College Dublin, ICLEI, Lund University, Espigoladors, SO.DE Social Delivery, the Municipality of Milan, Boroume, FoodCloud, Upfarming, Wageningen University, Zusammenleben, Nesenhuti, the University of Barcelona, the Brighton and Hove Food Partnership, and produced by ICONS, the series brings together perspectives and experiences from across Europe.
